Hotel Spec, the Africa based hotel development consulting firm announced today the group’s expansion into the Americas region, with the opening of its new offices in Florida, USA. Mark Martinovic has been appointed President and CEO of Hotel Spec International Inc. which will commence operations in North and South America from September 2016.

Mark said “It is exciting times for the Hotel Spec group as we expand into the Americas Region after 14 successful years in sub-Saharan Africa. To date, Hotel Spec have worked on 98 projects in 22 African countries and we will bring this considerable experience to bear on the new region”.

According to the June 2016 stats from STR, there are 522,324 hotel rooms either in planning stage or under construction in the USA and 95,633 rooms in planning or under construction in the combined LATAM and Caribbean sub-regions.

“Hotel Spec International Inc. will initially focus on the South American region while we establish our presence in the US and we hope to open new opportunities in the world’s largest hotel market within the first two years”, Mark continues.
